Simulation Laboratory
Hands-on learning in computer-aided design, engineering simulation, CNC machining, 3D modelling, and CAD/CAE applications using computers, CNC equipment, and engineering software.
Lab Overview: Computer Aided Design & Simulation Laboratory
The Computer Aided Design & Simulation Laboratory is a well-equipped facility that provides students with practical exposure to computer-aided design, engineering modelling, simulation and CNC-based manufacturing applications. The laboratory is equipped with computer systems, CNC equipment and engineering software to support design, analysis and simulation-based learning.
The laboratory provides practical experience in 2D drafting, 3D modelling, engineering drawing, CAD design, finite element analysis, engineering simulation and CNC machining concepts. Students use software tools such as AutoCAD, CATIA V5 and ANSYS for modelling, design development, analysis and simulation of mechanical components and systems.
The laboratory enables students to develop skills in computer-aided modelling, engineering analysis, product design, simulation and CNC-based manufacturing, supporting academic exercises, design projects, mini projects and major projects.
